A New Day

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

As the year comes to a close, I find myself reviewing the year. The highs, the lows. The goals I set and finished as well as the goals I set but have not yet attained. I look at the things of the world, what has happened culturally, politically, economically.

But most importantly, I look at my life in view of a holy God. I am not yet who I want to be in Christ, but I continue to strive. I do no know all I want to know about God and His word, yet I continue to study. I continue to seek where God wants me to be so I am in prayer.

Where are you today in your relationship with God? Do you have one? Have you seen your sin in light of a holy God and repented? Today is that day. Are you a Christian yet see yourself falling short, walking away? Turn back. Today is that day.

Wherever you are today, it is a new day. A new day to believe God is who He says He is. A new day to read God’s word and believe its truths. A new day to walk with God and follow His commands.

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. “

1 Peter 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
