We’ve done the work. We’ve made the preparations. We are staying on top of the latest hurricane updates. We are mindful of the power of a hurricane. This is not our first rodeo. We take it seriously yet we are not panicking.
Now… we wait. I’ve been sitting on the front porch, enjoying a refreshing, steady breeze. Not a common occurrence on Labor Day in Florida. Making the best of the time. Thinking about the creative hand of God, the protective hand of God, the redeeming hand of God. This keeps me centered. This brings me peace.
1 Chronicles 29:11-12: ” Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your kingdom. We adore You as the One who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from You alone; for you rule over everything. Power and might are in Your hand, and at Your discretion people are made great and given strength.”
