Meditate

Joshua 1:8b “you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it.”

Meditate on it. On what? God’s word. That means to read God’s word, study it thoughtfully. When? 24/7. Once you read a passage, a verse, it lingers in your brain. The Holy Spirit will bring applications across your path and you will be reminded of the passage or verse you have just studied. Why? God gives us His word to know Him more. To honor Him, to follow Him, to worship Him. He wants us to observe His word- in all that we do, say, think. When we saturate our whole mind, body and soul into God’s word, our mindset is heavenly and we can do as the Bible commands: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)
