Hobby Time

Psalm 63:1 “O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land where there is no water.”

Quiet. Worshipful. Hobbytime. Quilting. Antique-ing. Painting. Gardening. Woodworking. Crocheting. Do you have a quiet hobby time? I do not do any of those listed above. Sadly, I am not as talented as friends of mine who do all of the above. But, when my husband says, “Let’s paint!” I will get a little giddy. Not because I am going to paint a masterpiece. No, just walls of the house. I know I will work on the project alone, with praise and worship music playing and I have time to contemplate my Savior through music and painting a wall.

It is important to find these times of quiet reflections, meditations, praising God. Whether it is an hour in the craft room or in the kitchen trying out a new recipe to feed the family, make time to be alone with your Savior, Redeemer, Friend.
